# Pause a workflow

> Pause a Revnu workflow through the API without losing its steps or run history. Cancel its pending wake and keep it paused until you explicitly resume it.

## Response

`{ "workflow": { …, status: "paused" } }`. The pending wake is cancelled; nothing fires until it is resumed. Idempotent. `404` for an unknown or another account's workflow.

### Which scope does this need?

`workflows:write`. A token without it gets `403` with `requiredScope` in the body. `GET /me` shows a token's scopes.

### Are responses cached?

No. Every response is `Cache-Control: no-store`, so what you read is current.
