# How Do I Find Public Tenders I Can Win?

> A GTM play for Revnu. Public buyers publish exactly what they want, what it's worth and when bids close. Revnu reads official tender notices, keeps the ones that fit what you sell, and brings each one to you with the buyer, scope and deadline.

A public tender is a buyer telling you what it wants, how much it will spend and the day it will decide. No other lead says that much. Revnu reads official tender notices, keeps the ones that fit what you sell, and brings each one to you with the buyer, scope and deadline, in time to bid.

## Why it works

Most small companies never see public tenders, because finding them means checking procurement portals every day. Revnu does the checking. You see the handful that fit, with enough time to write a good bid, and you stop missing contracts your competitors win by default.

## How to run it

1. **Describe what you sell.** Say what you'd bid for, such as "web development and hosting", "finance software" or "training for care staff", and which countries.
2. **Read the notices.** Revnu reads open tender notices and keeps the ones that match, with the buyer, scope, value, deadline and a link.
3. **Check the fit.** Revnu reads each notice for anything that rules you out, such as a required certification or a supplier rule, and tells you.
4. **Find the people.** Where the notice names a contact, Revnu notes it. It also finds who at the buyer runs the area, so you understand the need before you bid.
5. **Get them in time.** Revnu sorts by deadline, so the closest one is first.

## The prompt

> Find open public tenders in [the UK / the US / your country] for [what we sell] that close in the next 30 days. For each one, give me the buyer, what they want, the value if it's shown, the deadline and a link to the notice. Flag anything in the notice that would rule us out. Send nothing.

[Try this in Revnu](https://revnu.com/sign-up?prompt=Find%20open%20public%20tenders%20in%20%5Bthe%20UK%20%2F%20the%20US%20%2F%20your%20country%5D%20for%20%5Bwhat%20we%20sell%5D%20that%20close%20in%20the%20next%2030%20days.%20For%20each%20one%2C%20give%20me%20the%20buyer%2C%20what%20they%20want%2C%20the%20value%20if%20it%27s%20shown%2C%20the%20deadline%20and%20a%20link%20to%20the%20notice.%20Flag%20anything%20in%20the%20notice%20that%20would%20rule%20us%20out.%20Send%20nothing.)

Revnu brings the list to chat with every notice linked. Bids are yours to write and submit, and Revnu can draft from the notice when you ask.

## Run it every week

> Every Monday, find new public tenders for [what we sell] that close in the next 30 days and post them here, closest deadline first.

Set it up as a [workflow](https://revnu.com/docs/recurring-work.md) once and it runs on its own. See [recurring work with workflows](https://revnu.com/docs/recurring-work.md) and the [workflows API](https://revnu.com/docs/workflows.md).

## Frequently asked questions

### Which tender portals does Revnu read?

Official public notices, such as the UK's Find a Tender and Contracts Finder and US federal announcements. Name a country or buyer and Revnu finds where its tenders are published.

### Can Revnu write the bid?

Revnu can draft answers from the notice and what it knows about your business in **Settings > Memory**. You review and submit the bid yourself.

### What if a tender is reserved for certain suppliers?

Revnu reads the notice and flags rules like "reserved for UK suppliers" or a required certification, so you only spend time on tenders you can win.

### How far ahead does Revnu look?

As far as you ask. "Closing in the next 30 days" keeps it practical. "Published this week" catches new ones early.

### Can I get the list in Slack?

Yes. Run the workflow from Slack and the weekly list arrives in the same channel. See [connect Slack](https://revnu.com/docs/connect-slack.md).
