# How Do I Find Plants and Warehouses Ready to Automate?

> A GTM play for Revnu, for robotics and automation companies. A plant or warehouse hiring automation and controls engineers has started automating and has budget for it. Revnu finds those sites, reads each job post and reaches the operations leader by email and LinkedIn.

A company that posts a job for an automation engineer, a controls engineer or a robotics technician has decided to automate. It has a budget line, a project and someone about to own it. Revnu finds the plants and warehouses posting those jobs, reads what each one says it's building, and reaches the operations leader before the integrator shortlist is set.

## Why it works

Automation hires come before automation purchases. The job post names the lines, the PLCs, the robots and the vision systems in use, and often the project itself: "commission a new palletizing cell", "lead AMR rollout across three DCs". That is the first line of your email, written by the buyer.

## How to run it

1. **Name the roles.** Automation engineer, controls engineer, robotics technician, or anything that names the work you do, such as "palletizing" or "AMR".
2. **Find the postings.** Revnu finds fresh postings at manufacturers, warehouses and logistics operators in your market, each with its date and site.
3. **Read each posting.** Revnu notes the project, the equipment named and the site.
4. **Find the buyer.** The VP of operations, plant manager or head of engineering at that site, with a verified work email.
5. **Write by email and LinkedIn.** The email names the project from the post and offers what you've done for a site like theirs. A LinkedIn connection request follows, then a follow-up with one number, such as payback or throughput.
6. **Run it weekly.** New postings every week mean new sites starting projects.

## The prompt

> Find manufacturers and warehouses in [region] with [size] people that posted a job for an automation engineer or controls engineer in the last 30 days. Read each posting and note the project and equipment it names. Find the VP of operations or plant manager at that site and their work email. Write an email about the project in the post and what we did for a similar site, then connect on LinkedIn three days later.

Each lead keeps the job post on its **Signals** tab with its date and link. Your first sequence waits for your approval in **Review**.

## Add expansion news

Hiring is one signal. A new distribution center, a plant expansion or new capital is another, and they stack:

> Also find companies in [region] that announced a new distribution center, plant or production line in the last 90 days, and add them to the same campaign with the announcement as the reason.

## Run it every week

> Every Monday, find plants and warehouses that posted automation or controls jobs in the last week and add the ones that fit our buyer to the Automation campaign.

Set it up once as a [workflow](https://revnu.com/docs/recurring-work.md).

## Frequently asked questions

### Which roles make the best signal?

Roles that own the project you sell into: automation and controls engineers for cells and lines, robotics technicians for robot fleets, and continuous improvement managers for warehouses. A post that names a robot brand or a competitor's system is a strong signal too.

### Who should the email go to?

The leader who owns the floor: the VP of operations, plant manager or director of engineering. At multi-site operators, Revnu picks the person at the site named in the post.

### Can it stay inside the territory we cover?

Yes. Tell it the states, regions or distance from your service centers, and it keeps the list there.

### Does it work for long sales cycles?

Yes. Revnu books the first site visit, then keeps each account warm with follow-ups and LinkedIn while the project moves.
